Business Activities:
Mr. Joukowsky is a Senior Advisor of Econergy International, a publicly trading company on the AIM market on the London Stock Market. Before the IPO, he was Vice-Chairman of Econergy. Econergy is a diversified international energy services company, focused on the clean energy markets. It is currently comprised of several operating companies and business units that provide professional services to customers, including asset management, consulting, performance contracting, and emissions reductions brokerage services. The largest division is the Clean Tech Fund, a $20 million dollar fund that invests in clean energy projects in Brazil and Mexico. The Company is headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, with offices in Washington DC, Mexico City, Monterrey and São Paulo. He and Tom Stoner, his Econergy Partner, also co-founded Energy Group. Now called EUA/Highland, it is a subsidiary of the $50 million Eastern Utilities Association, a $2 billion New York stock exchange company.
In addition, Mr. Joukowsky is Chairman and CEO of Avalon Financial Group, Union Limited Partnership and HFG Financial Group, which advises and manages a total of over $100 million in equity and in venture assets. He is a partner of Enterprise Design of Pataluma, CA, a firm that works closely with executives to design competitive enterprises. He and his partner, Robert Dunham, focus on leveraging the capabilities of executives and managers, the coordination of action and an organization’s capacity for design.
In 1997, he was a co-founder of Solstice Capital, an $85 million dollar early stage venture fund. An Advisor for Solstice from 1995 to the present, he is also an Advisor to Utah Ventures II, an $80 million dollar fund based in Salt Lake City, Utah and Commons Capital, a socially responsible early stage venture fund in Boston.

Artemis Joukowsky has been active in disability and other community services for a number of years. His experience and roles include:
He the Chairman and co-founder of No-Limits Media, a non-profit corporation whose goal is the development of innovative media projects for people with disabilities. No Limits has created a 1\2 hour TV “Magazine” program that is planned for broadcast in the spring of 2005.
He is the Chairman and founding Board member of the Lemelson Assistive Technology Development Center at Hampshire College, an academic program that supports student invention and design of adaptive equipment.

He is a member of the United States Paralympic Team 2002-2004, he competed in the US and abroad. He won National Championships in table tennis (2002) for class 6 and won the Silver medal in the Mexico City Games (2003).
He is the Executive Producer and co-author of Raising the Bar, a book recently published by Umbrage Press. He co-wrote the essay with Larry Rothstein. In addition, he is writing a new book, tentatively called The Gift.
He is the founder and organizer of Raising the Bar Associates, LLC, which was created to work with major international corporations to support the UN Convention on Human Rights, which will be voted on September 2005. Raising the Bar Associates, LLC will be hosting a public photo exhibit of the book’s images in the main hall of the UN from March 12 to April 2 and then again in July of 2005 to support the Convention. In addition, RTBLLC will be presenting the book to each ambassador and head of state at the same time that UN Secretary General Kofi Annan will present of this year’s FDR international disability Award to King Abdullah of Jordon.

He is Executive Producer of a documentary film about his grandparents, Waitstill and Martha Sharp, who played a significant role in the relief and rescue of displaced and endangered World War II refugees, including many Jews, to be completed in December 2007.
He is co-founder of a number of non-profit organizations and socially responsible investment networks, including the Investor Circle (with Susan Davis). He was a founding participant of the Social Venture Network and he helped to co-found the Vermont Community Loan Fund, The Natick Montessori School and Food Works. He served on the Board of Directors of Hampshire College from 1992-2000 and as the Chair and Co-Chair of two Capital Campaigns from 1994 to the present.
